Our rider development partner, Head for the Hills Cycling, offers a wide range of mountain bike coaching programs. No matter whether you are a beginner or have been racing for years, they can help you learn new skills as well as fine tune your performance.

Coaching at Inside Line Events
Guided Track Walk
At each Inside Line race event, there is an opportunity to attend a track walk led by a Head for the Hills coach. You will have the opportunity to look at line options as well as ask questions and receive helpful tips and advice. This program is free to attend and generally starts from the Inside Line caravan at 8:30am on the Saturday of each race weekend.
Guided Practice
Head for the Hills offer a guided practice session for racers at Inside Line events. After walking the tack on Saturday morning, a coach will help you ride down the track to ensure you start your race practice right. The program costs $15 per rider and all participants must be entered in the corresponding race event. Bookings can be made on the Head for the Hills Website.
Sunday Skills
The Sunday Skills clinics are a fun way for kids who are not yet ready for the race track to learn basic mountain biking skills. The clinics cost $15 per rider, start at the Inside Line caravan and run on the Sunday morning of each race weekend. Bookings can be made on the Head for the Hills Website.
Jr Development
The Junior Gravity Skills program is a great initiative by Head for the Hills to help young downhill racers learn new skills and develop their race craft. The program consists of eight group coaching sessions delivered by specialist coaches over six months. For more information, go to the Head for the Hills website.
Group Coaching
Head for the Hills offer a comprehensive group coaching structure for riders over 16 years of age. For the best outcome, riders are encouraged to complete the pathway:

Women’s Programs
Head for the Hills also offer rider development programs just for women.
